About the tournament
The International Promises Montseny Cup began in 2016 in Sant Esteve de Palautordera, in the Montseny, with sixteen teams. Today more than 3,000 players take part each edition, over the Carnival weekend, at venues in Osona and the Vallès Oriental, north of Barcelona.
In 2027 it has 15 categories for boys and girls, in 7-a-side and 11-a-side, and the organizers expect around 250 teams, among them international teams and professional academies.
It is a charity tournament against childhood cancer. In 2024 it raised more than 6,900€ through Pulseras Candela for research and treatment at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, and this edition is dedicated to the cause.
European Sport Events brings international teams to the tournament and takes care of their trip: the hotel, transfers and time in Barcelona.

Read the full registration terms
- Paying your deposit and balance
- You pay a deposit to register your place; it is credited in full toward your total, never an extra fee. The remaining balance is due by the date shown on your order, and we remind you before it falls due.
- Changing your booking
- Replacing one participant with another is always free and unlimited, at any point. Other changes to numbers, rooms or extras can be made up to the balance due date.
- If you cancel
- Cancel a place and 80% of its share of the deposit is refunded; anything paid above the deposit for that place comes back in full. The last 14 days before the tournament are non-refundable, because hotel rooms and event costs are committed by then — but a free substitution still means a club loses nothing.
- If we cancel
- If we cancel the tournament, for any reason, you receive a full refund of everything you have paid.
- Insurance
- The package does not include medical or travel insurance. Please arrange your own cover for the whole stay — for players, a policy that specifically covers competitive sport.

The rules
- 7-a-side and 11-a-side, by category, with the tournament's official referees
- At least 4 matches, all on one day
- Matches are one half of 20 minutes (7-a-side) or 28 minutes (11-a-side)
- Up to 14 players a squad in 7-a-side and 20 in 11-a-side, with rolling substitutions

The full rules
- Squads
- A federation license or an identity document is required for every player. Up to 14 players in 7-a-side and 20 in 11-a-side.
- Matches
- 20 minutes in 7-a-side and 28 minutes in 11-a-side. Substitutions are rolling, from the bench area. The referee adds no time unless they consider it necessary.
- Group ties
- Two teams level are separated by the match between them; three or more, by the most points among them; then by the most goals scored, the fewest conceded, and fair play.
- Knockout ties
- A draw goes to 3 penalties each, or 5 in 11-a-side.
- Discipline
- During the tournament, the final say is the host venue's committee. A straight red card means a one-match suspension, as that committee decides.
- Kit clash
- If the colors clash, the team listed first in the fixture table plays in its own kit.
- Trophies
- Presented at the end of each category, to the champion and the runner-up.
